The Center for Urban Education at USC has published compelling research on the racial gaps. Their work focuses on narrowing these gaps within the California community colleges through equity minded workshops and developing effective institutional equity strategies.

Dr. Joumana McGowan has been championing the implementation of some of these equity minded practices through her work with the Equity Minded Workgroup, which she founded along with educators, counselors, and other college administrators.
